The starter is equipped with thermal protection facilities, a start-stop push-button station and two pilot lamps indicating respectively the supply and the run state of the motor driven. It is housed in a half-size totally enclosed portable modular unit. The Three Phase Magnetic Starter For 1/3 HP (250 W) - 60 HZ is a three phase magnetic starter for 1/3 hp (250 W) that is used to teach AC motor control and start motors with higher power and control them at distance. Connections to the unit are made through 4 mm standard color-coded, five-way binding posts. The trainer is protected by a either a diode or thermal-magnetic circuit breaker. Requires a 120/208V 60Hz circuit. This permits the utilization of banana-type jumper leads between the power supply and other components in the circuit. Specifications and/or diagrams are silk-screened on the back of a clear-plastic front panel for ease of identification.
