The balance can be manually adjusted to variable angles of incidence making it particularly suitable for testing rudders or stabiliser fins. The balance is mounted on a plate in place of a measuring section window, normally at the top of the tunnel.
The 6 Component Balance is supplied with a Stainless Steel plate/bracket to mount the balance in place of the measuring section windows, Calibration equipment and support Frame.
The balance is attached to a plate, which can be mounted in place of a window. The attachment plate supplied with the balance will be manufactured according to the measurements of the windows of the water tunnel. The 6-component balance is designed for use at the measuring section of water tunnels or water channels, which can be set under vacuum or pressure for cavitation tests. The balance is suitable for pressure in the measuring section between vacuum slightly above vapour pressure and 1 bar above atmospheric pressure. Attachment can be as desired, either at the side, top or bottom of the measuring section.
