Forced Convection Heat Transfer apparatus allows students to examine the theory and associated formulae related to forced convection in pipes. It is a frame holding a motor-driven fan, piping and instrumentation panel. A basic knowledge of forced convection heat transfer theory is valuable in many engineering fields, especially heat-exchanger design. It also has a large work surface for student convenience. The fan runs at a constant speed and draws air through a control valve. A larger manometer on the instrument panel measures the fan pressure drop. The u-shaped pipe connects to a smaller diameter insulated and electrically heated copper test pipe. The air then moves into a u-shaped pipe.An orifice plate in the pipe connects to a manometer on the instrumentation panel to measure the airflow rate. The test pipe discharges to atmosphere. Pressure tappings each end of the test pipe connect to amanometer on the instrument panel to measure test length pressure drop. Students control the power input to the test pipe heater using a variable transformer while noting the power using instrumentation on the panel. Further thermocouples measure temperature at various points within the test pipe insulation. Students use a digital indicator on the instrumentation panel to display thermocouple temperature readings. A thermometer measures the air temperature at the inlet to the test pipe.Thermocouples measure the temperature at various points along the test pipe wall.

Nett dimensions and weight: 3500 mm x 850 mm x 2020 mm and 344 kg
Test pipe diameter: 32.6 mm
Packed dimensions and weight: 3.55 m3 and 522 kg
Test pipe length: Approximately 1.75 m.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs About Forced Convection Heat Transfer

Common questions from buyers, procurement officers & technical evaluators about ordering, customisation, lead time & documentation.

Yes. Laboratory Instrument India is a direct manufacturer and exporter of Forced Convection Heat Transfer. We control quality from component sourcing through assembly, calibration and final QC — not a reseller or trading company. This ensures consistent pricing, faster lead times for bulk orders and full traceability for tender documentation.

There is no fixed MOQ — we accept single-unit institutional orders as well as large tender-volume contracts. Standard lead time for Forced Convection Heat Transfer is typically 2–4 weeks from order confirmation, depending on quantity, customisation requirements and current production schedule. For urgent tender deadlines, please mention the required delivery date in your enquiry and our team will confirm feasibility within 1 business day.

Yes. We routinely customise Forced Convection Heat Transfer for specific tender specifications — including voltage variants (110V / 220V / 240V, 50Hz / 60Hz), regional plug standards, branding / OEM labelling, language settings, calibration ranges, and additional accessories. Share your tender document or technical specification sheet with our team and we will provide a compliance matrix and quotation.

We export to 65+ countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Major destinations include Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Senegal, Cameroon, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. All shipments include complete export documentation — commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, test certificate, and any destination-specific compliance paperwork.

Each unit ships with a user manual / operator guide, technical specification sheet, test & calibration certificate, warranty card, and (for export orders) full customs paperwork. For tender supply, we also provide manufacturer's authorisation certificate, ISO compliance declaration, country-of-origin certificate, and a compliance matrix mapping our product specifications against the tender document — ready for direct submission to the procuring authority.
