The Flow Meter Demonstration, allows through 3 different flow measurement accessories: Venturi tube, orifice plate and a variable area meter installed in series in the unit, the study to find the flow rate of the fluid flowing through each one of them comparing them directly.
Present set-up is an accessory of Hydraulic Bench. Theequipment consists of a Venturimeter, variable areameter and orifice plate installed in series, which permitsthe direct comparison of one with another.
A control valve is fitted at the discharge end of the circuit to varythe flow through these flow meters. Pressure tapings atappropriate positions are provided to measure the headloss for each flow meter and are connected tomanometer to conduct the experiment. In this way thehead loss characteristics of each flow meter can beobserved and measured.
The system is supplied with quick and easy couplingarrangement to connect with Hydraulic Bench.Manometer is pressurized with the help of a hand pumpfor observing the readings. The flow meters andmanometer are attached to a supporting back plate andframe which may be placed upon the top tray of thehydraulic bench.
Present set-up is an accessory of Hydraulic Bench whichcan be connected to the Hydraulic Bench with providedquick release coupling. To operate this accessory end usershould have Hydraulic Bench which is provided withcontrolled water supply and flow rate measurementfacility.
