Compact Dry E. coli/Coliform Count (EC) is a Direct Culture based ready-to-use test method for Rapid Enumeration of Escherichia coli and coliform bacteria.
Compact Dry E. coli/Coliform Count (EC) plates for bacteriological testing of drinking water.
The medium should be rehydrated with 1mL diluted sample inoculated onto the center of the self-diffusible medium, allowing the solution to diffuse by capillary action. The plate can be incubated at 35[degrees]C for 20-24h and the colonies counted without any further working steps.
The plates are pre-sterilized, contain culture medium and a cold water-soluble gelling agent
Medium contains 2 kinds of chromogenic enzyme substrates that develop red/pink color for Coliform and white/blue color for E.coli.
Storage: Keep at room temperature (1-30 degrees C). Refrigerated storage is not required.
Shelf life: 18 months after manufacturing.
