Ancillary Equipment
At every surface, a hydrological monitoring station is installed a staff gauge plate to read manually the water level values. Other ancillary equipment regards a smart-phone monitoring system.
The staff gauges are used as redundant water level measurement in case of failure of the electronic equipment and as field reference, enabling the field observer to verify and compare manually the value displayed at the logger with the value observed at the staff gauge plate and verify that there are no errors (field data quality control).
The following paragraphs illustrate the main technical characteristics of the ancillary equipment to be provided.
